Tottenham were linked to Giovanni Simeone earlier this month, but he has now moved to Fiorentina.
Tottenham Hotspur have missed out on the opportunity to sign Giovanni Simeone.
The Argentine striker has signed for Fiorentina on a five-year deal, leaving Genoa after one season at the club.
The Mirror reported earlier in August that Tottenham Hotspur were considering a move for the striker.
Simeone is the son of Diego Simeone, former Argentina international teammate of Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Simeone scored 12 goals last season for Genoa to finish as the club’s top goalscorer in his first season in Europe.
Tuttosport reported a year ago they paid only 3 million Euros – £2.7m to sign Simeone from River Plate.

The 22-year-old is a bright talent who would have fitted into the set up at Tottenham in terms of his age and potential upside, but the North London sides are focusing their efforts elsewhere.
The Mirror report Spurs have set their sights on deals for Davinson Sanchez and Keita Balde, while SkySports report they are pushing to sign Celta Vigo midfielder Cheikh Pape Diop.
