The 20-year-old Mali ace is one of the world’s most promising midfielders and he has had a terrific season.
Haidara scored eight goals and 10 assists and helped his side reach the Europa League semi-finals.
He would have been an ideal replacement for wantaway midfielder Mousa Dembele.
Haidara is an energetic box to box midfielder who would cost a huge fee now if Tottenham wanted to tempt him away.
It has got a lot harder now and Spurs appear to have missed their chance for this summer at least.
