A fine header from Harry Kane proved to be the difference between the two sides. The victory will add huge confidence to the side ahead of their Championship knock-out clash against Juventus.
One of the highlighting features of Spurs’s performance has been the midfield partnership of Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele.
The Belgian was simply superb against the Gunners and controlled the midfield with great aplomb. The 30-year-old made 59 passes during the game with 96.6% accuracy. He also created one chance, and made one fine tackle as well.
Dier, the England midfielder, was equally solid alongside him. He attempted 65 passes, made three tackles and was also successful in making three interceptions.
Dembele took to social networking site Twitter after the game, and posted a three-word message “Very good vibes”, with a picture of him and Dier.
