Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Luke Amos might be the club’s unluckiest player.

After shining in pre-season against top European sides, the young midfielder was rewarded with his senior debut and a new contract.

Amos then suffered a torn ACL in September in a under-23 game, ending his season.

He has since seen teenager Oliver Skipp seize a first team opportunity, which could have been his.

Amos is trying to be optimistic, and is looking forward to making up for lost time.

He sent a message on Instagram yesterday to supporters reflecting on the dramatic highs and lows he experienced in 2019.

Amos’ task is to try and regain fitness by time pre-season comes around in 2019. Then he will have to impress all over again.

The defensive midfielder is a player Mauricio Pochettino believes in, and he should be optimistic about his chances despite the high standard required to make it in this Spurs side.
