Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Josh Onomah, who is on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, has been given mixed reviews after his performance for the England under-21’s.

Onomah was surprisingly selected to start for the Three Lions youngsters, with the Spurs midfielder playing a key role.

The Tottenham man was selected to be England’s most advanced midfielder, as they drew 0-0 with Holland.

And while some England supporters were impressed by what Onomah did, others felt that the Wednesday loanee struggled.

Onomah’s future at Spurs is currently uncertain, with Mauricio Pochettino sending him out on loan over the past two seasons.

The prospect is currently with Wednesday, after failing to make a huge impact at Aston Villa last season.

Onomah could have an important role to play at Wednesday over the season, and he is under pressure to impress.

Tottenham have so many options in midfield, that Onomah is surely reaching an age where he must catch the eye, if he is force his way back into Pochettino’s plans.
