The Daily Mirror has reported that Spurs are ready to make a move to sign James McCarthy from Everton.
The midfielder is a target for the club according to the paper and their report suggests a £20 million fee could be on the cards.
The Mirror also suggests that Aaron Lennon could be included in a deal, heading in the other direction.
The Daily Mirror has also suggested that West Ham United want to sign Tottenham winger Andros Townsend.
Townsend is a target for the Hammers according to the paper and they could offer somewhere in the region of £15 million.
However, the Mirror suggests that West Ham aren’t gambling on a deal being simple considering the rivalry between the two clubs.
The Guardian is among the sources to have confirmed a new contract for Spurs midfielder Nabil Bentaleb.
The Algerian has put pen to paper on a contract which will keep him at White Hart Lane until 2020.
He joins a number of players to have committed their long term futures to the club, with striker Harry Kane among those to sign a new deal last season.
