Tottenham Hotspur have been long-term admirers of Crystal Palace wide-man Wilfried Zaha.

Tottenham Hotspur may just have missed the chance of signing Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace once and for all.
Spurs have been long-term admirers of Zaha, as reported by the London Evening Standard, but they failed to get a deal over the line this summer.
And Tottenham may now have to move on to other targets, as Zaha has committed his future to the Selhurst Park side.
Zaha has penned a new contract which is set to keep him at Palace until 2023.
Although that is not an indication that he will definitely stay until Palace for another five years, it perhaps does rule out Tottenham.

Spurs have been loathed to pay big for any player recently, and Palace have now protected their investment.
If any team wants to buy Zaha they are going to have to pay a huge fee to take him away from Selhurst Park.
And unless Spurs completely change their transfer policy then Mauricio Pochettino’s side have surely missed out on their opportunity to sign the Ivorian international.
