Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt – and agent Mino Raiola has talked up a potential exit.
Conte fancies De Ligt at Tottenham
When Antonio Conte became Tottenham boss in November, there were a host of links to Serie A players.
Add in Fabio Paratici’s role as director of football and the links to players in Italy aren’t a huge surprise.
Calciomercato reported in November that Conte would love to bring De Ligt to Tottenham.
Tottenham did sign Cristian Romero over the summer but still need some defensive additions if they’re to really play Conte’s way.
Dutch star De Ligt could fit the bill for Tottenham, though it would be expensive.
Juventus paid £68million to sign De Ligt from Ajax in 2019 and would surely expect a huge chunk of that back.
Raiola talks up potential De Ligt move
De Ligt is featuring regularly for Juventus, but agent Mino Raiola seemingly isn’t entirely happy.
Raiola loves to move players around regularly, seemingly not keen to keep his players at one club for more than a few years.

Coming up to three years at Juve, maybe Raiola thinks it’s time for De Ligt to move on.
Speaking to NRC in the Netherlands, Raiola has indicated that De Ligt is ‘ready for a new step’ – and the defender has made that clear to him.
De Ligt could be on the move at the end of the season, and you would imagine Tottenham will be in the mix.
Whether Conte can tempt Daniel Levy into paying big money for the 22-year-old remains to be seen.
