Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur have made a late enquiry to sign Juventus target and Chelsea-linked Barcelona forward Memphis Depay, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Tottenham Hotspur enquire about Chelsea-linked Memphis Depay
La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Tottenham Managing Director of Football, Fabio Paratici, made an enquiry about Depay on Tuesday.
Although the former Manchester United forward is keen on a move to Juventus, interest from Spurs is now distracting him, according to the report in the Italian publication.
The plan is for the 26-year-old to terminate his contract at Barcelona by mutual consent and then join Italian giants Juventus on a free transfer.
Interestingly, Tottenham’s bitter London and Premier League rivals Chelsea have also been linked with Depay.
The London Evening Standard reported last week that the Dutchman has been offered to Chelsea, who have yet to make a decision whether they will take it up or not.

Could a transfer happen?
In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur may not be able to sign Memphis Depay in the summer transfer window.
With Juventus and Chelsea linked, Depay could find those two clubs more appealing than Spurs.
Yes, Tottenham have a world-class manager in Antonio Conte and have a grand project, but they are not ready to win the Premier League or the UEFA Champions League right now.
Juventus will challenge for the Serie A title and could go on to win it.
