Tottenham stepped aside from race for Alfie Mawson.

Heading into the summer, Alfie Mawson was tipped as a top target for Tottenham Hotspur.
The Times reported Spurs were considering a move for the centre-back, with Swansea valuing him as highly as £40 million.
No team bit on Swansea’s valuation, and they ended up slashing that figure, selling him for £20 million.
Even at £20 million Tottenham decided Mawson was not for them, and stood aside to let Fulham seal the deal.
So far Mawson has failed to convince Tottenham that they made a mistake.
He is currently on course for a second successive relegation, with Fulham rock bottom of the Premier League with just two wins.

Mawson has played in 10 Premier League games for Fulham, nine as a starter. In every one they have failed to keep a clean sheet.
The defender can to extent blame an ever changing cast of defenders around him, but he is not doing enough either.
He has offered little to suggest he would be a difference maker for Tottenham and pushing Toby Alderweireld or Jan Vertonghen out of the side.
Tottenham did not sign anybody in the summer, but perhaps that was better than making a panic buy.
