Tottenham Hotspur have been made favourites to sign Manchester United forward Anthony Martial.

Martial’s future at Old Trafford seemed in doubt after he was left out of the FA Cup semi-final and final and then failed to make France’s World Cup squad.

His agent claimed this week speaking to RMC Sport that he is keen to leave United and that his mind is made up.

Tottenham have had a long standing interest in Martial, who scored a winner past them at Old Trafford last season.

Tottenham’s standing as favourites is helped by The Telegraph’s report last night that Martial is open to a Tottenham move, with manager Mauricio Pochettino keen on signing him.

The big obstacle to a move is United’s obvious reluctance to sell to a Premier League rival, although their desire to sign Spurs defender Toby Alderweireld could open the door to a potential switch.
