Tottenham Hotspur may well have an interest in Luis Enrique as their next manager amid claims that Fabio Paratici is a big fan.

That’s according to The Athletic, who report that Paratici has ‘always’ been a big admirer of Enrique’s work.

This comes amid question marks over the future of boss Antonio Conte.

The Italian is out of contract this summer and it’s suggested that there are no plans to activate a one-year option in his deal.

That means Tottenham may well be looking for a new manager this summer and Paratici will be key to making that decision.

The report claims that there may not be room for both Paratici and Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham given the power both men want.

Paratici may look elsewhere, with Enrique thought to be a manager he really rates very highly.

Luis Enrique could be on Tottenham’s wish list

CMW in Italy reported back in December that Tottenham were eyeing up Enrique to replace Conte.

You can forgive Tottenham fans for not putting too much stock into that report at the time given that CMW can be pretty hit and miss.

Yet maybe they were onto something here as Paratici appears to really like the Spaniard.

Enrique is out of work at the moment having left his post as Spain boss following the World Cup in Qatar.

The 52-year-old won 26 of his 47 games across two spells as Spain boss, drawing 14 and losing seven.

Enrique also won more than 75% of his games in charge of Barcelona whilst winning two La Liga titles, three Copa del Reys and the Champions League in 2015.

Enrique always plays lovely football to watch and he may be the type of manager Tottenham fans want to see after the Conte era.

That would be quite ironic given that Conte has praised Enrique in the past, calling him a ‘fantastic’ coach and a ‘really good’ person.

With Conte widely expected to leave this summer, maybe Paratici will finally get his wish and appoint Enrique as Tottenham boss to bring in a new era in North London.
