Tottenham Hotspur ace Lucas Moura has suggested that the atmosphere at Newcastle United is unbelievable ahead of today’s game.
Tottenham travel to the North East this afternoon – and it could be a very unique atmosphere for this game.
Newcastle are playing their first Premier League game since their huge takeover was completed earlier this month.
Fans are expected to turn out in droves to support the Magpies in the hope of starting this new era in style.
Newcastle can’t go and sign players until January and Steve Bruce hasn’t been sacked. Ultimately, this is the same Newcastle side that lost 2-1 at Wolves before the international break.
The whole feeling around Newcastle has changed though. There is renewed optimism, a feeling Newcastle fans haven’t truly had in years.
Winning today would really start this new era perfectly, but Tottenham aren’t about to roll over.
Nuno Espirito Santo picked up a vital win before the international break, beating Aston Villa 2-1.
Tottenham need to pick up some momentum after some poor results in September, and Moura is expecting raucous atmosphere.

Moura told The Mirror that it’s ‘very, very hard’ to play at St James’ Park because the atmosphere Newcastle fans create is ‘unbelievable’.
The Brazilian added that the takeover doesn’t really matter in terms of how Newcastle fans support their team, and wants Tottenham to just focus on the game and not the atmosphere or the takeover.
“It’s always very, very hard to play at Newcastle,” said Moura. “The atmosphere is unbelievable with the fans there, they push their team very well. It doesn’t matter what has happened with the club, Newcastle and their fans, when we’re on the pitch just think about the fixture, about performing and scoring goals.”
“Everything that happens outside the stadium, outside the pitch, is not our problem,” he added.
