Fenerbahce are focused on securing the signing of Tottenham Hotspur attacker Lucas Moura ahead of the Turkish transfer window closing.

The Turkish transfer window has been extended to March 5th in light of the earthquake devastation in recent weeks.

Fenerbahce are hoping to get some deals done with boss Jorge Jesus trying to chase down Galatasaray at the top of the Super Lig table.

Italian transfer insider Rudy Galetti now reports that Fenerbahce have made Tottenham’s Lucas Moura their top priority.

Galetti claims Fenerbahce are ‘working hard’ on a deal for Moura and they aren’t pivoting to AC Milan attacker Ante Rebic.

Fenerbahce now have less than a week to get this move secured, but they seemingly have enough encouragement to keep chasing the Brazilian.

The time is right for Lucas Moura to leave Tottenham

Fenerbahce’s problem may be that Tottenham are out of the transfer window and wouldn’t be able to replace Moura if he leaves.

Letting Moura go would be a risk for Tottenham at this stage and Antonio Conte won’t want to leave himself short.

Still, Moura is out of contract at the end of the season and looks set to leave the club.

Conte has already suggested that Moura will be leaving when his contract expires – though did indicate that it was the club’s decision to let him go.

If Fenerbahce offer some cash, it may be better to take the money before Moura leaves for nothing.

The 30-year-old hasn’t even started a Premier League game this season and has managed just 94 minutes across nine substitute appearances.

Moura is either not fit or not a threat in the Premier League anymore; possibly both.

Tottenham have decent depth in attack right now with Dejan Kulusevski, Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, Richarlison and Arnaut Danjuma already in contention.

Moura is sixth-choice and letting him leave for Fenerbahce this week may not be Tottenham’s worst idea.
