Tottenham loanee Marcus Edwards needs to jumpstart his loan spell.

Marcus Edwards’ loan move to Dutch side Excelsior at first appeared to be perfect for all parties concerned.
Edwards provided an assist in his second game on loan and was voted into the Eredivisie team of the week.
Since then, he has found it difficult to kick on.
Edwards has started seven games for Excelsior, the last of which came on November 2.
In the subsequent matches he has been an unused substitute, before this past weekend where he did not even make the bench.
After a terrible loan at Norwich City last season, The Guardian reported that Edwards was seeking a permanent exit from Tottenham, and he was not included on the club’s pre-season tour.

After knuckling down in pre-season back in England and playing for the under-23s, Edwards earned his loan move away.
He is currently being outshone by young English wingers Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson, who are shining on loan in the Bundesliga, a more difficult division than the Eredivisie.
Edwards has just the one assist to his name and no goals from eight appearances so far.
At present the trajectory of his loan spell is getting worse. He needs to fight his way back into the club’s plans and show he still has so much to offer.
