Former Tottenham star defends his achievements.
Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Micky Hazard hit back yesterday after being trolled by an Arsenal supporter on Twitter.
Hazard played for Tottenham in two spells from 1980 to 1985 and then between 1993 and 1995.
But yesterday his achievements were diminished by an Arsenal supporter who talked down his FA Cup medals.
Hazard gave this suggestion short shrift, claiming he has won more in Europe than Arsenal’s current squad have for the Gunners.
Hazard was part of the Tottenham team which lifted the UEFA Cup back in 1984, beating Anderlecht in the final.
He also lifted the FA Cup with Spurs in 1982 and is regarded as a fan favourite for Spurs even today, making more than 300 professional appearances as a player.
Arsenal’s players are bidding to win the Europa League this season, a trophy which would become the Gunners’ first ever piece of European silverware under manager Arsene Wenger.
