Tottenham and Liverpool are at odds over the race for the Golden Boot.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane received a boost in the race for the Golden Boot after the Premier League decided to award him the winner against Stoke City.

The winning goal was originally credited to Kane before later being handed to Christian Eriksen, with the ruling Kane did not touch it.

Kane disputed this, and the Premier League agreed.

Kane’s goal helps him out as he looks to chase down Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah in the race for the Golden Boot.

Liverpool fans were fuming over the decision, ranting against Kane on social media.

Former Tottenham captain Graham Roberts took a no nonsense approach to this, suggesting they were purely moaning out of self-interest, and not being objective.

He pointed out that they escaped with an unjust decision

Liverpool are in the Champions League semi-finals after beating Manchester City, but they profited from a bad decision to rule out a goal from their opponents in the second leg.
