Allen believes Kane hass the skill set to succeed in American football.

Tottenham Hotspur legend Clive Allen has claimed to the London Evening Standard that Harry Kane could follow in his footsteps by making the transition to NFL after his retirement from football.
Kane has been a revelation since breaking through at Spurs, scoring 66 goals in 133 games for the North London club and winning the Premier League golden boot last season.
The 23-year-old, who has also netted five times in 17 England caps, has established himself as one of England’s, and arguably Europe’s, great young strikers.

However, Allen believes he could already have eyes on a second sporting career if he so wished, suggesting that Kane has the attributes necessary to be a success in NFL.
The Standard claims that Kane has previously expressed his interest in switching to American football once he reaches a time to retire from football, and Allen, who had a brief spell as a placekicker for NFL Europe side London Monarchs in 1997, has endorsed that notion.
Allen told the Standard: “I know Harry well. He’s a natural sportsman – a good golfer – and I wouldn’t be surprised [if he moved to NFL].

“He would be one who could master the technique – there’s no doubt about that. And I know he would have the mentality to cope with it as well.
“Even though the ball is snapped and placed for you there are a number of times when it’s not quite perfect for you. So you have to adjust when you’re kicking.”
That might seem like a fanciful concept to some, but Kane is a huge NFL fan and the temptation to continue a role as a professional sportsman, if it presented itself, could be enough to sway him.
However, we are surely talking well over a decade before that decision even begins to creep into his mind, and it seems fair to say that for now Kane will be focused purely on returning from injury and hitting his previous heights for Spurs.
