A round up of news stories and transfer rumours about Tottenham Hotspur from the past 24 hours.

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is reportedly keen on a switch to Manchester City. French publication L’Equipe has claimed that a swap deal for Joe Hart is on the cards which would see the England number one moving to White Hart Lane.

Another player who could reportedly be coming into the club is Ajax star Viktor Fischer, who has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs. The 19-year-old is rated as one of the best prospects in Dutch football. He’s bagged seven goals from a wide position this season.

Lloris has said his teammates need to show courage in the face of rivals, slamming the ‘bad defeats’ the club has suffered this season and calling for more character.

“We had a lot of bad defeats. We have to show more character – In this league you have to be 100% every time. We can’t allow this sort of behaviour,” he’s quoted by the BBC.

Spurs players are reportedly planning to ignore Charlie Adam in the pre-match handshakes this weekend against Stoke City. Several Tottenham players reportedly feel aggrieved at the midfielder’s tackle on Paulinho in the reverse fixture, which left Tottenham’s man out of action for four weeks.

However, the boss has urged his players to respect the former Liverpool player, revealing he’s not heard any talk over a snub ahead of the weekend.

“I’ve not heard the boys talk about it. My message to my players would be to respect Charlie Adam,” said Sherwood.

Former England and Tottenham Hotspur boss Glenn Hoddle has revealed that he expects the club to appoint a foreign coach this summer, if Tim Sherwood is shown the exit door.

“I do believe that they’ll bring someone in and I think they’ll be working behind the scenes (to find a replacement). If Tim was going to keep the job they’d have come out and backed him. I think they’ll go foreign,” Hoddle told talkSPORT.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane says he feels able to follow former great Spurs strikers of the past, citing Teddy Sheringham as the man he wants to emulate at White Hart Lane.

“As I grew up I tried to use [Sheringham] as a role model and if I can score as many goals as he did, it would not be bad. Last year we had a little chat about,” he’s quoted by the Western Daily Press.
