Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Bordeaux forward Malcom heavily in recent times.
Spurs intend to meet with Malcom’s agents in the near future, and if they can pull off a deal then it would be an impressive show of superiority over their north London rivals.
Tottenham could really disrupt Arsenal’s transfer plans by signing up Malcom, as the Gunners arguably need the forward more.
Spurs already have an enviable forward line, which is packed with quality, and all of their attacking players have room to develop.
But, with the futures of both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil in doubt, Arsenal need a marquee signing to appease concerns and strengthen their attack.
By stepping in their way, Spurs would confirm that a power shift has taken place in the capital. Tottenham have been looking up at Arsenal for too long, but they finished above Arsene Wenger’s side last term and if they start winning the battles in the transfer window too, then the future will look very bright for the Lilywhites.
