Tottenham Hotspur fans were fearful when Toby Alderweireld could leave, but Daniel Levy may be turning the tables.

Tottenham Hotspur could be getting the better of the deal if they lose Toby Alderweireld but gain Anthony Martial.
And if Daniel Levy manages to pull off the trade deal, then Tottenham will come out winners in a situation which looked highly concerning for them.

Alderweireld is one of the best defenders in the Premier League, and arguably Tottenham’s finest centre-back.
His departure will be a blow to Spurs, but if they get Martial in return, then they have a legitimate case to feel like they have been winners in the deal.
Alderweireld has just one year left on his contract at Tottenham, and at 29, he may only have a few more years in his prime condition.

Martial, on the other hand, has so much time ahead of him – and he could go on to become one of the most dangerous attackers in world football.
Martial’s career has stalled at United, since he signed, but his talent is unquestionable.
There is the potential for the Frenchman to become a player worth a huge amount of money, if Pochettino can bring the best out of him.
And if Spurs can sacrifice a brilliant, but ageing defender, to get their hands on an youthful attacker, who could become one of the most threatening players in the world, then they may just feel like they are the winners in the deal after all.
