Manchester City defender Kyle Walker has praised Richarlison whilst suggesting that he hopes the Tottenham Hotspur striker starts scoring soon.
Walker was pulled in for punditry duty on BBC Sport on Wednesday night as two of his former clubs – Sheffield United and Tottenham – locked horns in the FA Cup.
Sheffield United ran out 1-0 winners with Iliman Ndiaye’s second-half strike securing something of a cup upset.
Tottenham had a golden chance to reach the last eight of the competition but threw it away.
This looks like being yet another season without a trophy for Tottenham, who just never got going at Bramall Lane.
Add in that Arsenal beat Everton 4-0 on Wednesday night to go five points clear at the top of the Premier League table and this was a dreadful night for Spurs.

Kyle Walker backs Tottenham striker Richarlison
This was a difficult night for a number of Spurs players.
Tottenham just couldn’t find their way past a much-rotated Blades side.
Striker Richarlison really didn’t enjoy his evening in Yorkshire, failing to seize his chance as Tottenham’s central striker.
Richarlison took three shots but none of them were on target, failed to complete a single dribble and lost the ball three times.
The Brazilian rarely gets a chance to play as a striker for Tottenham and will be gutted to have effectively wasted his chance.
Richarlison did receive some praise though as Manchester City defender Kyle Walker – formerly of Tottenham – talked about the Spurs forward.
Walker told BBC Sport (01/03, 8:55pm) that he has been impressed with Richarlison’s work ethic over the years.
Walker noted that Richarlison will always give his all but now needs to find the goals.
The England international added that he hopes to see Richarlison start scoring soon to help Tottenham – a club Walker clearly still cares about.
“The work ethic is always there with him,” said Walker. “He’s always going to put a good shift in. Obviously, he’s judged on goals and that’s the main thing, what he needs to do is put the ball in the back of the net but if you keep working hard, you’ve got the basis there and then hopefully the goals come for him,” he added.
