Tottenham Hotspur star Toby Alderweireld raves about Mauricio Pochettino.
Spurs defender Toby Alderweireld shared his admiration for his manager Mauricio Pochettino, labelling him as one of the best managers in the world, putting him in the same bracket as Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone, as quoted by the Sun.
The Belgian has suffered horrendous luck with injuries so far this term, after sustaining a rare nerve injury in October that ruled him out for two months, and then missing yesterday’s win over Burnley with a back strain.

Injuries aside, he has established himself as one of the world’s best centre-backs, and when fit, he is undoubtedly one of the first names on Pochettino’s Tottenham team-sheet.
And Alderweireld discussed the important role that the Argentine has played on his career thus far, as quoted by the Sun:
“He doesn’t want to change the way we want to get success, with good football and pressure. And it’s good to have a manager who is very clear. He’s up there with the best I’ve played for. But I’ve been very lucky to have been under some of the world’s best managers. Diego Simeone, Frank de Boer, Marco van Basten, fantastic names. Mauricio gets across his ideas to the group and we know exactly what he wants. Now I think he is one of the best in the world.”

Spurs seem to have their Premier League campaign back on track now, after winning three of their last four league outings, and sit 10 points adrift of league leaders Chelsea.
They head to the south coast to take on Southampton on Boxing Day, before an another away trip to Watford just a few days after.
Then it is the big one – Chelsea at home, and a return of nine points from those games will see Tottenham firmly back in the title race.
