Tottenham Hotspur want Jakub Kiwior but Spezia are hoping to keep hold of their exciting young centre back at least until the end of the season.

Tottenham will always be linked with plenty of Serie A talent whilst Fabio Paratici is in charge of recruitment.

Cristian Romero, Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski have all arrived from Italy under Paratici and more could follow.

There have been links to the likes of Weston McKennie, Ruslan Malinovskyi and more with Paratici having a close eye on Serie A.

Tottenham Hotspur want Jakub Kiwior

The latest name mentioned is Spezia defender Jakub Kiwior.

AS claim that Tottenham are interested in signing the Polish defender, who is now attracting enormous interest.

Tottenham are hardly alone in this race though, with West Ham United, Atletico Madrid, AC Milan, Villarreal, Juventus and Roma all keen.

Kiwior, 22, joined Spezia from MSK Zilina in Slovakia last year, having one been in the Anderlecht ranks.

Kiwior is now shining in Italy and has even nailed down a spot in Poland’s starting lineup at the World Cup.

The talented young defender has helped Poland keep clean sheets against Mexico and Saudi Arabia, giving them a great chance of last 16 qualification.

Tottenham may well have one eye on Kiwior in Qatar and Paratici has something of an inside track on the defender.

Kiwior was brought to Spezia by Riccardo Pecini, an Italian talent scout who worked with Paratici at Sampdoria.

The pair have remained close over the years and whilst Pecini has now left Spezia, he will surely have great things to sell Paratici about Kiwior.

Tottenham may fancy a January move for the Pole but Spezia are hoping to stand firm.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Spezia are looking to keep hold of Kiwior at least until the end of the season.

Spezia would also be seeking up to €20million (£17million) if they are to sell Kiwior in 2023, but that price tag may only rise if he continues to shine at the World Cup.

Tottenham may be tempted to try a January move anyway but it may not be the worst idea to try and tee up a deal for summer 2023 before anybody else can.
