England’s Harry Kane
Tottenham Hotspur are optimistic striker Harry Kane will make a recovery in time to play this season.
Kane suffered an ankle injury early into the 6-0 win over League One side Millwall in the FA Cup, and there were fears his campaign could be over.
Tottenham issued a statement earlier this evening on Twitter, describing it as not as serious as his injury suffered earlier this season.
This is potentially huge news for Spurs, with Kane missing around six weeks of action last Autumn.
Kane could therefore potentially be back by mid-April, with the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea a key date to aim for on the 22nd.
The striker is Tottenham’s top scorer for the third season in succession and has a chance to win the Premier League golden boot for the second year in a row.
