Tottenham Hotspur are said to be planning on selling Luke McGee, but Peterborough United’s interest has moved on.
Peterborough United director of football Barry Fry has confirmed to BBC Radio Cambridgeshire that Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has informed him that Luke McGee is likely to be sold this summer.
Spurs loaned McGee out to Peterborough last season, and he was in excellent form during his first campaign in senior football.
The 21-year-old won Posh’s Player’s Player of the Season award, and was a mainstay in Grant McCann’s first-team.

Peterborough had wanted to snap McGee up on a permanent transfer, but they have now moved on from targeting the Spurs youngster.
Tottenham are keen to keep hold of McGee until the latter part of the transfer window, but are expected to offload the 21-year-old.
“I spoke to Daniel Levy myself and he said that they’ll most probably sell him, but it won’t be until August,” Fry said. “I passed the message on to the manager and the chairman, and they have told me to move on.”

McGee has broken through at Spurs, and is thought of highly by the coaching staff at the North London club.
If Spurs do plan to sell McGee, there are likely to be no shortage of suitors, following his eye-catching displays in the Football League last term.
