Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur and Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa are interested in signing Yves Bissouma from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window, according to The Times.

The report has claimed that both Tottenham and Villa bid for Brighton midfielder Bissouma in the January transfer window.

Villa’s offer was more than Tottenham’s, but neither of the two sides were able to sign him in January.

However, according to The Times, Tottenham and Villa have ‘renewed their interest’ in the 25-year-old Mali international midfielder, described by Arsenal legend Ian Wright “sensational” on Wrighty’s House Podcast in August 2021.

Brighton value Bissouma at £30 million, according to The Times.

Could Tottenham sign Yves Bissouma this summer?

In our opinion, Tottenham have a very good chance of signing Bissouma from Premier League rivals Brighton this summer.

The Seagulls were never really going to sell one of their most prized assets in the middle of the season.

However, things could be different now.

Tottenham have received a cash injection of £150 million, and with Champions League football on offer next season, Bissouma himself could be very tempted to join Antonio Conte’s side.

Meanwhile, former Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov has praised Harry Kane on BBC Radio 5 live.

Berbatov said about the England international striker: “He is unbelievable in the way he plays football. Put aside the goals, he can score a lot of goals, but the way he controls the ball with no pressure, looking where the other players are.”
