Arsenal are said to be in direct competition with Spurs for the signatures of Lejeune (Daily Star) and Lemar (Daily Express), who have been identified by the North London duo as potentially excellent additions.
And Mauricio Pochettino’s side could assert their new found superiority over their close rivals by snapping up the pair.
Tottenham finally finished ahead of Arsenal this past season, to secure their place in the Champions League.
And, all of a sudden, a move to Tottenham could well be more appealing than a switch to the Gunners.
Spurs can now prove that they are the dominant force in North London, not just on the pitch but off it too, by signing up Lemar and Lejeune.
And if Spurs were able to strike the blow into Arsene Wenger’s transfer plans, it would add further spice to the rivalry for the upcoming campaign.
