According to The Times, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Odsonne Edouard from Celtic in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that Tottenham have scouted the French striker “regularly” this season as a potential replacement for England international Harry Kane or to be his back-up.

Stats

According to WhoScored, Edouard scored 22 goals in 27 Scottish Premiership matches for Celtic this season.

As stated on Celtic’s official website, the 22-year-old has scored 62 goals in 126 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops so far in his career.

In demand

Tottenham are not the only club who are reported to be interested in signing Edouard from Celtic this summer.

The Mirror has claimed that Arsenal and Everton want the former Paris Saint-Germain striker as well.

Former Rangers striker Kris Boyd rates the Frenchman highly, writing in The Scottish Sun this month: “There’s no doubt he could walk into the Arsenal team — and their North London rivals Tottenham would also be a great fit for him.”

Celtic stay

While Edouard could be tempted by Tottenham, with Celtic aiming to win the Scottish Premiership title for the 10th season in a row, it would be better for him to stay at the Hoops for one more season and write himself into the history books.
