Stoke City fans cannot believe that they have paid so much to sign Kevin Wimmer from Tottenham Hotspur.

Stoke City fans recent reactions to Kevin Wimmer’s £18 million move from Tottenham Hotspur, may just show that the transfer was one of Daniel Levy’s finest pieces of work.

Spurs got a high price for Wimmer last summer, but the centre-back has been a disaster at Stoke.

Mark Hughes bought Wimmer in an attempt to solidify his side’s backline, but the Austrian has looked uncomfortable throughout his time with the Potters.

And Stoke fans have suggested that Levy is worth his mega-money bonus, as he managed to get so much money out of them for the defender.

Wimmer has made 17 Premier League appearances for Stoke this term, but he has been heavily criticised by supporters.

At Spurs Wimmer actually proved to be reliable back-up, but he has arguably been upgraded now.

Juan Foyth was brought in last summer, and the Argentine defender looks to have an extremely bright future.

Stoke could well be relegated this season, which could lead to Wimmer being on the move again soon, but this time it will be at a much reduced price.
