Bordeaux manager says he cannot guarantee Malcom will stay put, amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.
Bordeaux manager Jocelyn Gourvennec has admitted he cannot guarantee in demand attacker Malcom will stay at the club.
Gourvennec admits he has little power over Malcom’s future and believes the unpredictable transfer market means he cannot promise the Ligue 1 side can hold onto him.
French outlet Made In Foot report Gourvennec said: “I build for the sequel with Malcom. The football is football, I do not imagine so far that he can leave but you never know.
“I’m not not the ultimate decision maker for Girondins and the market remains the market.”
It’s not exactly a ‘hands off’ warning for Tottenham, or Manchester United, who SkySports report have a prominent interest.
Malcom signed for Bordeaux from Corinthians in the summer and has been an immediate hit for the French side.
In the first half of the season he has scored seven goals and provided five assists.
At just 20, there is plenty more to come from the young Brazilian, and a move of around £40 million could go onto be considered cheap considering the price Liverpool presently are demanding for Coutinho.
