Tottenham Hotspur turned in another dismal performance as they were beaten 3-0 by Manchester United – and Gary Lineker was far from impressed.

Some were hoping that Tottenham would come up with a big performance.

After all, they needed a fightback after losing to West Ham United last weekend, and Manchester United were dreadful against Liverpool.

However, Tottenham fell felt once again. Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford were on the scoresheet to give United a comfortable 3-0 win.

Tottenham didn’t even manage a single shot on target. That simply isn’t good enough at home, and Nuno Espirito Santo was met with boos at the final whistle.

With five defeats already this season, Tottenham look nowhere near challenging for the top four this season and are frankly playing boring football too.

No wonder Tottenham fans aren’t happy.

Lineker slams Tottenham display

Former players aren’t best pleased either, with ex-Tottenham striker Gary Lineker taking to Twitter to react.

Lineker posted just six words on the matter, stating ‘Goodness me, Tottenham have been awful’.

Lineker accompanied that message with a facepalm emoji, summing up how Tottenham fans feel right now.
