Tottenham Hotspur first-team coach Ryan Mason has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to all Premier League matches this weekend being postponed, including the one between Manchester City and Spurs at the Etihad Stadium.
Antonio Conte’s Tottenham were supposed to take on defending Premier League champions Manchester City away from home at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
That match will not go ahead now.
That’s because the Premier League have decided to postponed all fixtures this weekend.
The Premier League have announced that they have made the decision following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
“To honour her extraordinary life and contribution to the nation, and as a mark of respect, this weekend’s Premier League match round will be postponed, including Monday evening’s game,” according to the statement.
And Tottenham first-team coach Ryan Mason strongly agrees, as you can see below.

The decision to postpone all Premier League matches this weekend will divide opinion.
Some will argue that the matches should have gone ahead so that people who earn their livelihood through the game could have continued to do so.
Moreover, having everyone sing the national anthem before games combined with some sort of a tribute to The Queen would have been better.
We could have celebrated The Queen’s life.
But others will argue that it is a very sad time for the nation, who are mourning the loss of The Queen.
They would argue that such a tragedy merits a sombre note, and having football played around the country would not have been befitting.
