Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has seen his side complete two signings so far this summer.
Pochettino stressed last season that he wanted Tottenham to make additions this summer, and Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke have arrived.
However, Spurs have failed to complete another signing this summer, with a number of previously key players now linked with exits.
Concerns are rapidly rising around White Hart Lane about whether Tottenham’s squad will be able to compete for trophies next season.
But Pochettino seemed relaxed about the situation today. He said: “I told Daniel during the flight from London that I will be happy with the squad that you are going to provide me to work with. I’m always happy. That is my nature.”
The comments do not appear to have gone down well with Tottenham fans, who think that they show a real lack of ambition.
Pochettino normally does keep his cards close to his chest, so his statement does not necessarily mean that Tottenham won’t make any more new additions this summer.
Spurs are still being linked with a whole host of players, but their progress does seem to have slowed slightly.
Tottenham still have three weeks remaining to get their transfer business done before the new season starts.
