Tottenham Hotspur boss has suggested that the club are in negotiations with Christian Eriksen over a new contract.

Pochettino suggested yesterday that Spurs were in contract talks with Eriksen, but they had not been able to agree new terms.
Real Madrid have recently been linked with the attacking midfielder, who has established himself as one of the best playmakers in the Premier League.
And with Eriksen’s contract running down at the end of next season, Tottenham supporters are becoming slightly concerned, after Pochettino’s comments.
The Argentine boss said: ”The club’s working to try to take the best decisions. Christian is going to take I think the decision that is best for him. We’re not worried. But I prefer that he’s going to sign the new contract and spend a long time with Tottenham.”
The comments have been enough to spark fear among Tottenham supporters, who are keen for another Toby Alderweireld like situation to occur.
Alderweireld could well leave Tottenham cheaply at the end of the season, as Pochettino’s side have still not been able to sort out his contract.
Tottenham have so far refused to pay the wages that the Belgian wants, leaving big questions to be asked over his future.
If Eriksen and Alderweireld were both to leave Spurs in the summer it would be a huge blow to Pochettino’s side’s plans for the future.
