Tottenham Hotspur have failed to beat Chelsea to the Premier League title this season.
Former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore has praised Tottenham Hotspur on Boylesports.com.
Collymore has praised Tottenham for the way they have consistently played good football this season, and has suggested that they have been more enjoyable to watch than Chelsea.
Chelsea recently won the Premier League title, with London rivals Spurs set to clinch the runners-up spot.
Collymore has stated that he has been underwhelmed by the football played by Liverpool and Manchester City this season.
“This season for me has been underwhelming, with only Spurs giving me the kind of quality football constantly over the 38 games,” Collymore wrote on Boylesports.com.
“Chelsea were about solidity with magic dust sprinkled on top and Liverpool and Man City were great one moment, woeful the next. This is not good enough for clubs with the resources available to them.”
Tottenham fans will surely love the aforementioned comments from Collymore, who seems to recognise Mauricio Pochettino’s side’s quality.
Spurs have played well this season and have been brilliant to watch. The North London club may have failed to win the Premier League title, but they can be proud of their playing style which has endeared them to many neutral fans.
Pocettino’s side have been defensively strong and have been brilliant going on the attack, with star striker Harry Kane in the running to become the top scorer in the Premier League.
