According to a report in the Gambling Times, Everton are rivalling Tottenham Hotspur for Wilfried Zaha, and if Sam Allardyce completes the transfer, then Spurs fans would have every right to feel angry.

Spurs have been tracking Zaha for some time, but have been unable to get a deal over the line for the Crystal Palace man.

Zaha’s form this season has now alerted a range of teams to his talents, with the 25-year-old becoming one of the most in-demand players in the Premier League.

Everton are the latest club to be linked with the tricky wide-man, although Palace are still holding firm in their stance that he is not up for sale.

The Eagles realise that Zaha is invaluable to them, and are currently suggesting that they will not sell for any price.

However, that has not put Everton off – and if Tottenham do miss out, then it will surely cause outrage in North London.

Spurs fans have been calling for Zaha to join Mauricio Pochettino’s squad for a considerable amount of time now.

And if Everton start beating them to players in the transfer market, then Spurs fans will be well within their rights to question Daniel Levy’s ambition.
