Tottenham Hotspur fans want Max Meyer signed this month.

Tottenham Hotspur fans have called on their club to sign Max Meyer this month.
The 22-year-old Schalke star is out of contract in Gelsenkirchen this summer and the Bundesliga club are between a rock and a hard place in regards to his future, meaning a cut-price deal could be an option.
Ross Barkley’s move to Chelsea means that Tottenham missed out on a very decent £15 million deal there, but fans of the North London club want chairman Daniel Levy to make a move for Meyer.

The German side were not in the Champions League this year, which means that Meyer, should he join Spurs, would be eligible to line up in Tottenham’s last-16 tie with Juventus.

The diminutive midfielder is not as attack minded as someone like Barkley and has failed to score or set up a goal in 16 Bundesliga games this season.
But the fact that his stock remains very high – AC Milan are reportedly also interested, according to Calciomercato – suggests that Meyer has many other strings to his bow.
Mauricio Pochettino already as Mousa Dembele and Harry Winks as central midfield options, but the former, who turns 31 in July, has struggled for his best form this season and some Tottenham fans believe that he is past his best.
Time will tell whether the four-cap Germany international replaces him.
