Tottenham Hotspur fans want Mateo Kovacic as potential Mousa Dembele replacement

Tottenham Hotspur are likely to want to add a new central midfielder in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur fans want Mateo Kovacic brought in from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

Kovacic has been a long-term target of Spurs, but it could be more crucial than ever that he is brought in for next term.

The Telegraph have suggested that Mousa Dembele could leave Tottenham at the end of the campaign, with his contract situation uncertain.

Dembele has just over a year left on his deal at Spurs, and is yet to agree new terms.

If Dembele does leave, Tottenham are going to have to strengthen in central midfield.

And Tottenham fans feel that Kovacic would be a great addition to Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Kovacic has struggled to hold down a place in Madrid’s team this season, and he has made just 15 appearances in La Liga.

The Croatian may feel that the time has come for him to leave the Bernabeu, as he is too talented a player to be sat on the substitutes’ bench with such regularity.
