Kyle Walker-Peters is in contention to start for Tottenham Hotspur at Real Madrid this week.

Mauricio Pochettino confirmed that left-back Ben Davies won’t make it back for Tottenham Hotspur’s huge Champions League clash at Real Madrid on Tuesday.
The Welsh defender missed the 1-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday and Pochettino confirmed the bad news afterwards.
With Danny Rose already injured, it’s not ideal for Tottenham, but Spurs fans would like to see the Argentine go with Kyle Walker-Peters.

Jan Vertonghen impressed in a left-back role against the Cherries but he does not have the attacking capabilities for a left wing-back position if the Lilywhites manager reverts to a 3-4-2-1 system at the Santiago Bernabeu.
It would be a huge leap of faith on behalf of Pochettino, given that 20-year-old Walker-Peters has only two Premier League games to his name, but fans of the North London club wouldn’t mind seeing him given a Champions League debut in perhaps the worst possible location.

Combating the majestic Isco for 90 minutes would look outstanding on his ever-improving CV, though it remains to be seen what Pochettino does on Tuesday.
You couldn’t blame him for sticking to the same 4-2-3-1 which beat Bournemouth, with the experienced Vertonghen at left-back, but attack might be the best form of defence for Tottenham and Walker-Peters is simply a bigger asset than the Belgian in this respect.
