Tottenham Hotspur supporters are hoping that Erik Lamela may get a chance to play at the World Cup.

Tottenham Hotspur fans are hoping that Erik Lamela could be called into the Argentina squad to replace Manuel Lanzini.
Lanzini has damaged his cruciate ligament, and could now be out for the rest of the year.
The news comes as a blow to West Ham United and Argentine, but Spurs fans believe that the door could now have opened for Lamela to be handed a call-up.

The winger was a key part of Argentina’s team, before he picked up an injury back in 2016.
Jorge Sampaoli did not even name Lamela in Argentina’s preliminary squad, but his options to take Lanzini’s role look slim.
And Tottenham fans feel that Lamela could do a job, if called upon to replace Lanzini.
Lamela only returned for Tottenham over the latter part of the campaign, and his performances were inconsistent.
Mauricio Pochettino played the former Roma man fairly regularly, but he only racked up four goals in 34 appearances.
