HITC Sport spoke to three Tottenham Hotspur fans ahead of the transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur have gone from definite title challengers to top-four hopefuls in the space of two months. So could there be more activity than was previously expected at Wembley in January?
We spoke to three Spurs fans to find out…

Jardine Fan (@JardineFan)
What do you think Tottenham’s budget will be?
We’re generally inactive in January as there’s little value. If the right player is available then £20-30 million unless more funds are generated through player sales.
In what positions do they need to strengthen?
The [Fernando] Llorente signing hasn’t bore fruit (yet), so a striker to supplement [Harry] Kane. The loss of [Kyle] Walker and [Danny] Rose’s lack of form and fitness has depleted the team’s pace and width so a vibrant wide player is a must in addition to a [Christian] Eriksen alternative.
Who would be your dream January signing?
If we can get travel back to 2016-17 via a time machine to sign Sadio Mane that would be perfect – failing that, Gareth Bale.
Who would be a realistic January signing?
A cut-price deal for Ross Barkley/pre-summer agreement for Luke Shaw.
Which players do you expect your team to sign in January?
A half-fit Ross Barkley.

Che Thomas (@Temlekin)
What do you think Tottenham’s budget will be?
£20-30 million unless there are sales.
In what positions do they need to strengthen?
There are several where improvements can be made but a playmaker in midfield is probably top priority. A left-back if Rose is sold. And a top class attacking talent even if it is unlikely.
Who would be your dream January signing? Gareth Bale
Who would be a realistic January signing? Ross Barkley
Which players do you expect your team to sign in January? As above, Barkley. Shaw or [Ryan] Sessegnon could come in if Rose does depart.

Ben Haines (@benhainess)
What do you think Tottenham’s budget will be?
I’d be amazed if we spend anything in January. If we do I can’t see [chairman, Daniel] Levy spending much beyond £30 million due to the nature of the deal for [Moussa] Sissoko. If [manager, Mauricio] Pochettino has identified targets usually fans have heard about it by now and the same rumours seem to be doing the rounds.
In what positions do they need to strengthen? Spurs need pace. The most significant thing that has affected us this season is loss of form to some of our key players, the lack of having a home ground to build from, and the lack of pace down the wings.
Who would be your dream January signing? Gareth Bale is practically impossible but one can dream.
Who would be a realistic January signing? Realistically Wilfried Zaha would be a good January signing, as well Ryan Sessegnon.
Which players do you expect your team to sign in January? Honestly not much at all. It would be no surprise if we didn’t sign anyone.
