Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has been said to be working on a deal for Dani Ceballos for much of the summer so far.

Tottenham Hotspur fans are excited at Dani Ceballos not being included in Real Madrid’s pre-season tour squad, but it may not be as good news as first expected.
Ceballos has been strongly linked with a move to Tottenham, with AS suggesting that a bid of £45 million would be enough to get the playmaker.
Some Tottenham fans are certainly excited by the news, and have taken it has a hint that Ceballos’s move could be happening.
However, Tottenham fans need to be wary of not getting too carried away.
Ceballos is actually likely not have been included in Madrid’s squad, as he played in the European under-21 Championships.
Although Zidane is yet to confirm the reasons behind Ceballos’s absence, the attacking midfielder is currently on holiday, which suggests he has been given extended leave by Madrid.
If Ceballos does arrive at Tottenham this summer it would be a hugely exciting signing for Pochettino’s side, and he could potentially be used as a replacement for Christian Eriksen, if the Dane does leave.
