Tottenham striker made his comeback this week.
Tottenham Hotspur fans have responded with encouragement towards Vincent Janssen after he expressed his gratitude towards them.
Janssen, signed for £17 million in 2016, made his first Premier League appearance in 20 months this week.
He came off the bench in Tottenham’s 1-0 win over Brighton, making an appearance at the club’s new stadium which never had seemed likely for him.
Janssen said thanks to fans late yesterday, for not giving up on him.
The Dutchman’s message was gratefully received by fans, who urged him to keep on going.
Janssen has always handled his business professionally, even when discarded ruthlessly on loan after just a season, not given a shirt number this season, and shunted down into the under-23 squad.
He could still play a crucial role this season, or at least do enough to create a market for him to earn a move away in the summer.
