Spurs will take on Watford at the Wembley Stadium in London in the Premier League on Monday evening.
Alderweireld seems to be looking forward to the game and has posted a message on Twitter, with Spurs fans responding to it.
Alderweireld is one of the best defenders in the Premier League, but the Belgium international has been largely a peripheral figure for Mauricio Pochettino’s side this season.
The 29-year-old central defender has made only 11 appearances in the league this campaign and played four times in the Champions League.
According to The Sun, Chelsea are interested in signing Alderweireld from Spurs in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported by the British tabloid that the former Ajax star is rated at £45 million by Tottenham.
Tottenham are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season, but they face a genuine threat from London rivals Chelsea.
