Alderweireld has taken to Twitter to revel in Tottenham’s 6-2 hammering of Everton away from home at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
The 29-year-old Belgium international central defender played well for Spurs during the win.
According to WhoScored, against Everton, the former Ajax star had a pass accuracy of 90.5%, won two headers, and made 12 clearances.
Alderweireld is delighted with the win against the Merseyside outfit, and Tottenham fans have responded to the defender’s message on Twitter.
Fans of the North London outfit have urged the former Atletico Madrid central defender to sign a new contract and commit his future to Tottenham.
The Sun recently reported of Manchester United’s interest in signing Alderweireld from Tottenham in the January transfer window.
