Walker’s move to join Pep Guardiola’s side has been rewarded with two Premier League titles.
This week Walker was rewarded with a new contract, extending his deal at City until 2024.
Walker sent a message out on Twitter expressing his delight at the show of faith.
Walker’s decision to quit Spurs still rankles with some fans, given the way Kieran Trippier has struggled for form in his place over the past 12 months.
Walker’s City have enjoyed dominance over Tottenham in Premier League games, but in the Champions League, Spurs came out on top.
His contract came amid reports from The Telegraph that City are looking to sign right-back Joao Cancelo from Juventus.
Tottenham fans were keen to point out that Walker could be relegated to second choice.
