Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen has taken to social networking site Twitter to send a message ahead of the match against Brighton and Hove Albion this weekend.
Spurs will return to action on Saturday evening when they take on Brighton away from home at the American Express Community Stadium in the Premier League.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are in a poor run of form and have lost their last three matches in all competitions.
Tottenham defender Vertonghen – who earns £89,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – has taken to Twitter to send a motivational message ahead of the game against Brighton, and some Spurs fans have responded to the 31-year-old Belgium international’s tweet.
Tottenham have a better team than Brighton, and the North London outfit will head into the Premier League game on Saturday evening as favourites.
However, given their current run of form, Spurs fans will be worried about slipping up against a Brighton side who will know that they can get at least a point against Pochettino’s team.
