Tottenham Hotspur’s Heung Min-Son’s form dipped towards the end of the campaign.

Tottenham Hotspur fans think they have got to the bottom of why Heung Min Son’s dipped towards the end of the past season.

Son started the campaign in blistering form, and forced his way into Mauricio Pochettino’s starting line-up.

However, the South Korean was not quite as effective during the second part of the campaign.

The London Evening Standard reported yesterday how Son was on painkillers for the final six weeks of the season, after picking up an ankle injury.

And Spurs fans now believe that was the reason why Son’s form dipped.

Son is still likely to have a massive part to play at Tottenham next term.

The £22 million signing from Bayer Leverkusen back in 2015 has become one of Tottenham’s most integral attacking players during his time at the club.

Son netted 18 goals and claimed 11 assists in 53 appearances for Spurs across all competitions this campaign.

Despite his ankle problems, Son is set for a busy summer at the World Cup with South Korea.
