The global pandemic will hit clubs hard financially. Spurs owe money on their stadium and for previous signings, so Jose Mourinho may be limited with his spending.
Loans, free agents and swap deals may be the priority, or youngsters who won’t break the bank and could have huge potential in the future.
One such player is Taylor Booth. The Daily Mail claim that Spurs want to sign the American youngster, as well as his brother Zach.
Taylor is currently with Bayern Munich, having joined from Real Salt Lake. Zach, however, is still in America with the MLS side despite a trial with Spurs in December.
Taylor allegedly caught the eye of Tottenham with a superb display in an Under-19 game for Bayern, setting up two goals whilst starring with his dead ball ability.
Spurs fans have been taking to Twitter to react to the rumours, with some preferring the likes of Giovanni Reyna, Sergino Dest or Tyler Adams if Spurs want an American signing to sell shirts.
Others would love to see Taylor Booth arrive, believing that he is one of the top American prospects in recent times – though some are worried that it may impact Oliver Skipp’s progress.
